Package de.frame4j.security Description
Support for automation and process control
Operations, actions and permissions to do so for identified subjects and groups.

This package de.frame4j.security pools types to support process control and
administrative applications (in the widest sense).
Mainly, this package is so far restricted to classes dealing with permissions
and actions. They original design was for automation and process control, and
the predecessors replaced were in
de.a_weinert.automation
.
Nevertheless these types can be and are used in other fields, too.
Internal hint: Those other more specialised types still remain in the packages
de.a_weinert.automation
and
de.a_weinert.facil
(of course without the classes
now here).
Classes in this package handle
- users,
- user groups,
- actions and
- rights (permissions to act)
Actions in this context clearly mean something that has a (real world) effect
to controlled processes or an administrated environment.
Since August 2016 (Revision >=177) Frame4J has undergone a major
restructuring, loosing pre Java8 compatibility and partly preparing for
Java 9. In this package all use and reference to package java.security.acl
was removed; types from package java.security, even though hardly compatible,
have been used instead. java.security.acl is deprecated long ago and Java 9
will probably kill it some day.
